My GC is WEIRD..SUPER WEIRD. YOU WONT FIND A GC THAT IS SO GOD DAMM WEIRD..I am 200% sure of it.
At first, the screen was stuck. None of the buttons could do anything. I can't even off my GC.
It was stuck at my previous phy calculations...
I thought it was because there wasn't enough batt. Hell it pissed me, cause I just changed it recently..even the stupid backup batt. I changed it with ENERGIZER, a very high-class and reliable brand..so I figured it was something wrong with my GC.
Swan asked me to take the batts out and put it back in. I did..and it became worst.
The whole of my screen was filled with black lines..some dotted..some not. It covered 95% of my GC screen. It looked like some virus attacked my GC. Still, I can only on it and do nothing. I also need to off it by taking my batts out and replacing them again...
So I brought it to the doctor and he told me that I need to bring it back to the distributor and let them fix it. I didn't want to waste money for the medication...and so I tried to cure it myself. Read the Ti booklet and did what was printed on pg 168..
"If the Ti-84 Plus does not function even though you are sure that the batteries are fresh, you can try manually resetting it."
*Remove all of the AAA batteries from the graphing handheld.
*Press and hold the ON key for 10 seconds
*Replace the batteries
*Turn on the unit
I did all of that and..still nothing was happening. It was still the same old black screen..
I decided to visit a better qualified doctor..the HOD of maths. I told him the symptoms and showed him the screen. BUT OMG! The screen changed overnight!! It became from something like this..( but it was a lot more horrible looking..)
to this..
I was so shocked..bet it was because I tried to clear the memory manually the previous night.
The doctor asked what did I do with it..I said nothing. He couldn't do anything to it too cause my beloved GC don't give a damn. I can still only on it and off it by taking out the batteries.
Doctor told me not to buy a new one..just get it repaired at some far far away shop. He told me to be careful and borrow from the sch if something goes wrong again.
I thus gave up on my GC..and was about to bring for fixing this week.... but ALAS..there is this stupid test this coming Friday.
So just now..I tried to see what was wrong with my GC. AND WOALA!! The screen changed again!! It said something like..please SAVE ME.
Nah..hahaa! It said something like..installing blah blah..please off your GC now. Its something like that..I can't rem cause it happened too fast. BUt like usual, I can't turn it off. So I turn it off manually but the screen was still the same. Accidentally (and luckily), I pressed the ENTER button and the screen changed again! It now said something like GC turning off..blah.please ensure cable is..blah..blah...and suddenly, my screen went blank again.
I was rather pissed..cause I NEED my GC for graph plotting. I on my comp and stuck the stupid USB cable into the GC and linked it to the comp. Installed all the shit programmes and tried to download some internal memory thing..but nothing worked.
BUT SUDDENLY..HEY!! MY GC worked! I can use it normally!! I happily plucked the USB off..but as soon as I plucked it off..my GC went dead again. Now I can't even on it...
I couldn't figure out what happened..so I plucked my USB back again..and strangely my lovely GC worked!!!
So now..I need to carry my GC around school..with a stupid USB stuck to it. I can't pluck it out of my GC, cause if I do that..it won't bloody work. It works only with the USB shoved up it's hole..and I don't even need to connect the other end of the cable to the comp. Weird huh?
I will bring it back to the HOD again and notify him of my new discovery.
I so love my GC..I knew it was special all along.
